Excel is great for data transformation, however a business intelligence program such as Power Bi is great for further transformations, and visuals. Why is recognizing trends and forecasting data important? Recognizing trends is useful when establishing a correlation ( or not ) between the specific categories, columns etc. when trends are established, we can further investigate numerically, or non-numerically the parameters to assist us in our analysis of the data. Forecasting will use past events to predict future events, based on the past events.
